About this tool
Find and remove blank pages from a PDF, such as the empty backs of single-sided scans, the page a printer adds after an odd-numbered chapter, or a stray break at the end of a document. Every page is looked at the way you would see it, and the pages with nothing on them are ticked for you.
Scans are rarely perfectly white, so there is a sensitivity slider: raise it to treat pages with only dust, a shadow along the edge or a faint stamp as blank. A page that still has real text in it is never counted as blank. You can tick and untick pages by hand before saving.
The result is a new PDF with the other pages untouched. Everything happens in your browser and the file is not uploaded.
How do I remove blank pages from a scanned PDF?
Open the scan here and the empty pages are found and ticked. Adjust the sensitivity if dust or shadows keep a page from counting as blank, check the selection and choose Remove.
Will it delete pages that only look blank?
A page with live text is never treated as blank, even if the text is white or tiny. Pages with only very faint marks can be caught by raising the sensitivity, and you can untick any page before you save.
Why is a blank page not detected?
Scanner noise, a punched-hole shadow or a header on every page counts as content. Raise the sensitivity a little, or tick the page by hand.
