About this tool
Convert any number of images at once. Interformat reads JPEG, PNG, APNG, WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, QOI, TGA, Netpbm, SVG and, where your browser supports it, HEIC.
Transparent images going to a format without transparency, like JPEG, are filled with the colour you choose instead of turning black.
Folders keep their structure when you download everything as a ZIP or save straight to a folder.
Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Yes in Safari, which can decode HEIC. Other browsers don’t ship a HEIC decoder; on an iPhone you can also set Camera › Formats › Most Compatible to shoot JPEG.
Does converting reduce quality?
Converting to a lossy format (JPEG, WebP, AVIF) re-compresses the image at the quality you choose. PNG, lossless WebP and the uncompressed formats keep every pixel.
Is my EXIF data kept?
You decide. Removing it is on by default. When kept, JPEG to JPEG keeps EXIF; other conversions can’t carry it over yet.
