About this tool
Make placeholder images for mockups, wireframes and tests at any size up to 8192 pixels: a solid colour, a gradient, checks, stripes, a grid or noise, with the size or your own text in the middle.
Text colour is picked automatically for contrast, or set your own. Add several sizes, such as a social card, a story and a square post, and download them all at once.
Download SVG, which stays sharp at any size and is only a few hundred bytes, or PNG, WebP, JPEG and AVIF rendered from the same drawing. The SVG is also given as a data URI you can paste into HTML or CSS, so a page doesn’t need to load anything from a placeholder service.
