About this tool
Format or minify XML, from feeds and SVGs to config files and SOAP messages, and check that it’s well-formed: every error is pointed out with its line and column, and namespace prefixes must be declared.
Significant text is never touched. Elements that hold text, mixed content like <p>Some <b>bold</b> text</p> and anything inside xml:space="preserve" stay exactly as written; whitespace is only added between elements that hold nothing but other elements.
DTD entity declarations are refused, since they’re behind attacks that expand a tiny file into gigabytes or read local files, and nothing is ever downloaded.
