About this tool
Trim the margins off PDF pages. Drag a box on a preview of the page and see the cut as you move it, type exact margins in millimetres, or let the tool find the white space and trim to the content with a little room left around it. Apply the same crop to every page or only to a range.
It sets each page’s visible area, so text and images keep their quality and the page size changes to match. Pages that were rotated are handled correctly, so the box lands where you drew it.
Cropping hides the area outside the box rather than erasing it: that content is still inside the file and could be recovered by someone who looks. To remove content for good, use Redact PDF. The work is done in your browser and the file is not uploaded.
How do I crop a PDF page?
Open the PDF here, drag the box on the page preview (or type the margins you want to cut) and choose Crop. The cut is applied to every page you select.
Can I remove the white margins automatically?
Yes. Choose “Trim white space”. The tool finds where the content on each page begins and ends and crops to it, leaving a small margin you can set.
Is the cropped-away part really deleted?
No. It is hidden, and still present in the file. If something sensitive is outside the crop, use Redact PDF instead, which removes it.
Why do my pages end up different sizes?
With “Same on every page” switched off, each page is trimmed to its own content, so sizes differ. Turn it on to use the same margins everywhere.
