About this tool
Change the page size of a PDF: make every page A4 or US Letter, or any size you type in millimetres. Pages can be scaled to fit inside the new sheet, to fill it, or stretched, and landscape pages can keep a landscape sheet. Resize everything or only a range.
Each page is placed on a new sheet as a drawing, so text stays sharp and selectable, and the content is not re-compressed. The side effect is that links, form fields and bookmarks are not carried over, since the pages are redrawn onto new ones.
This changes the paper size, not the file size. To make a PDF smaller, use Compress PDF. Everything happens in your browser and the file is not uploaded.
How do I change a PDF to A4 size?
Open the PDF here, choose A4 and “Fit”, then save. Every page is scaled to sit inside an A4 sheet, with the page direction kept.
What is the difference between Fit, Fill and Stretch?
Fit shows the whole page with blank space where shapes differ. Fill covers the sheet and trims the overhang. Stretch squeezes the page to the sheet, which can distort it.
Does resizing make my PDF smaller?
No, only the paper size changes. Use Compress PDF to reduce the file size.
Why did my links stop working?
Pages are redrawn onto new ones, so link areas, form fields and bookmarks are not carried across. The text and images are unchanged.
