About this tool
Fill in a PDF form right on the page. The fields the form defines (text boxes, check boxes, radio buttons and drop-down lists) are found and shown where they belong, tinted so you can see them. Click, type and tick, move between pages, then save the completed form.
You can flatten the result so the answers are fixed into the page and can no longer be changed, which is what you want before sending a form to someone. Leave it off to keep the form fillable.
Everything happens in your browser, so personal details such as names, addresses and ID numbers are not uploaded. Some forms are only pictures of forms and have no fields to fill; the tool says so and points you to Annotate PDF, where you can type text anywhere. Fields use the built-in form font, which covers Western European characters.
How do I fill in a PDF form without Adobe?
Open the form here, click each highlighted field and type or tick your answers, then choose Save. The filled form downloads, and nothing is uploaded.
Why are there no fields to fill in?
Some PDFs are scans or printouts of forms with no real fields. Use Annotate PDF to place text where the answers go.
Should I flatten the form?
Flatten it when you are sending a finished form and don’t want the answers changed. Keep it fillable if you or the recipient still need to edit it.
Is my personal information uploaded?
No. The form is filled and saved inside your browser, so what you type stays on your device.
