About this tool
Sign a PDF without printing it. Draw your signature with a mouse, finger or stylus, type your name in a handwriting style, or use a photo of your signature with the white paper made see-through. Then click where it belongs on the page, move it, resize it, and copy it to every page if you need initials throughout.
The signature is placed as a picture in the page, so it looks the same in every PDF program, and the file never leaves your device: it is drawn in your browser and the signature is not stored anywhere.
This is a visual signature, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. It is not a digital signature with a certificate, so it cannot prove who signed or detect later changes. Many agreements accept this kind of signature, but if yours requires a certified or qualified e-signature, use a service that provides one.
How do I sign a PDF without printing it?
Open the PDF here, draw or type your signature, click the spot on the page where it goes, and press Sign PDF. You download the signed copy.
Is this a legally valid signature?
It is an image of your signature, like signing a paper copy. That is accepted for many everyday documents, but the rules differ by country and contract. It is not a certified digital signature.
Is my signature stored or uploaded?
No. It exists only in your browser while you use the page, and is written into the PDF you download. Nothing is sent to a server.
Can I add my signature to every page?
Yes. Place and size it on one page, then choose “Add to every page” to copy it to the same spot on all of them. This is handy for initials.
