About this tool

Drop two or more PDFs, put them in the order you want and download one combined file. You can take just some pages from each file, such as 1-3, 5 and 8 onwards, and the original files are never changed.

If you scanned a double-sided stack as two files, one for the fronts and one for the backs, switch to alternate pages to weave them back together. Choose “backs reversed” when the scanner delivered the second side from the last sheet to the first.

Merging happens in your browser, so confidential contracts and statements never leave your device. Protected PDFs ask for their password first. Links to other pages inside a file and bookmarks are not carried over, because the pages they point to may no longer be where they were; web links are kept.

Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?

Yes. The files are read and combined inside your browser and are not sent to any server. You can turn off your internet connection after the page has loaded and it still works.

Will merging make the file bigger?

The merged file is about as large as the originals added together. Fonts and images shared between files are stored once only when they are identical. If the result is too big to email, run it through Compress PDF.

Why are some links and bookmarks missing?

Links that point to other pages in the same document, and the bookmark panel, refer to pages by position. After pages are combined or removed those positions change, so they are dropped rather than left pointing at the wrong place. Links to websites are kept.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

Yes, as long as you know its password. Enter it on the file’s card and it is used in your browser only. The merged file is not password-protected; use Protect PDF afterwards if you need that.
