Drop an image to trace
Logos, icons, drawings and flat graphics trace best. The result is real vector paths, not an image wrapped in an SVG.
About this tool
Trace a PNG, JPEG or other image into real vector paths. Many converters only wrap the picture inside an SVG file; this one finds the shapes and redraws them as curves, so the result scales to any size and can be edited and recoloured.
Black and white mode is best for logos, signatures, line art and scans: pick the brightness that counts as ink. Colour mode reduces the image to a few flat colours first. Smoothing, speck removal and a light blur trade detail for simpler, smaller files.
Tracing runs in the background and is cancelled as soon as you change a setting. Very detailed results are stopped before they turn into an unusably large file.
Can I trace a photo?
You can, with the Photo preset, but expect a poster-like result. Tracing works best on images with clear edges and few colours.
