App Icon Generator
Icons for iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, web apps, Electron and Tauri from one image, in the right folders.
Drop your app icon
An SVG or a 1024 × 1024 PNG works best. Transparent logos get your background colour where a platform needs one.
About this tool
Drop one image and get a ZIP laid out the way each platform expects: an Xcode AppIcon.appiconset with Contents.json, Android mipmap folders with adaptive, themed and round icons, a macOS .icns, a Windows .ico with every display scale, web app icons, and the folders Electron and Tauri read.
Previews show your icon on an iPhone home screen in light and dark, inside Android’s launcher masks with the safe zone drawn in, in the macOS shape and at the tiny sizes Windows uses on the taskbar. If part of your logo would be cut off by a round mask, you’re told before you export.
Platforms that don’t allow transparency get the background colour you choose; desktop icons stay transparent unless you want a tile.
Does Xcode still need every icon size?
No. Since Xcode 14 a single 1024 × 1024 icon is enough and Xcode makes the rest. Turn on “Every size” if you build with an older Xcode.
What is the Android safe zone?
Adaptive icons are 108 dp layers, and launchers show the middle 72 dp through a mask that can be a circle, squircle or other shape. Anything outside the central 66 dp circle can be cut off on some phones.
What are themed icons?
On Android 13 and later people can tint their icons to match the wallpaper. Interformat makes the monochrome layer this needs from the shape of your logo.
